(BPT) - One in five kids have learning or thinking differences (LTDs) such as ADHD or dyslexia. And while LTDs are common among families, friends, neighbours and peers, it is new research from Understood.org, a guide and resource for people with LTDs, that is finding that there are still harmful stigmas associated with them — stigmas that often negatively impact children’s mental health and preventing parents from taking steps to get their child the proper support that they need.
